About the project

ASB Georgia, together with our partners United Together (UT) and The Samaritan Association of Georgia (SSK), is implementing the project: "SEGI: Inspiring Georgian and Ukrainian Kids and Juniors", funded by Aktion Deutschland hilft (ADH).

Under the guidance of the esteemed Chess Grandmaster Giorgi Baghaturovi, a three-time Georgian Chess Champion and winner of the World Senior Championship in 2016, these classes provide a unique opportunity for Georgian and Ukrainian children to receive expert mentorship and develop their chess skills. The classes are held every Saturday at the "Georgian School-Tbilisi".

The chess classes are open to Georgian and Ukrainian children and juniors (aged of 8 and 16) of all skill levels. Participants will receive comprehensive instruction covering the basics of chess, including game strategies, tactics, and winning techniques. They will also develop important skills like problem-solving, thinking critically, and planning ahead. Additionally, these classes provide a platform for participants to connect with fellow Ukrainian chess enthusiasts and build lasting friendships.
